Assistant Language Teacher
My responsibilities include teaching and planning lessons
for students aged between 6 and 15 years old, working with Japanese teachers
of English and taking part in community activities.

Sales Assistant
I learned various key skills necessary for a workplace
environment, including teamwork, dealing with people and the importance of
communication between management and staff. Working whilst being at
University has also enhanced my time management skills.

Database Designer
Working as part of a team, I helped to set up a database
using MS Access, to store all membership records and bookings on computer. I
had to work to a deadline, and provide software support for the following
weeks. |
| Interests and
activities |
I play for my local badminton team, winning the Fukue
mixed doubles tournament, and do Karate twice a week, as well as various
after school clubs with my students. I run local marathons and am training
for the Iron man Triathlon on my Island. At University, I played five-aside
football and won the regional Coca-Cola 5-aside and the Nottingham student
tournament titles, among others. |

In Japan, I designed a website
www.deveninjapan.com
describing my time in Japan.
This involved learning how to use web design software, as well as picture
and audio editing.
I helped organise National tournaments gradings and other
events as the Taekwondo club secretary. I gave a presentation for a sports
grant award, where we were successful in raising £500 for another
tournament. At my previous school, I received a nomination for student of
the year and I was invited to attend an economics reading party at Cambridge
for twenty British students as a head start for university. |
