Kyoto

the world’s largest wooden structure,

inside is the world’s largest cast Buddha

this is in Nara, which by itself isn’t much

of the world’s largest anything—but

an amazingly beautiful city, indeed

on this day in Nara, we met a very eccentric

gentleman with a modest studdor,

a sensible grasp of the English language,

one earphone dangling from his adjoining twin

tucked up under his hat, some sort of radio

murmur twining out of it—he told us of

his destination, up to the highest point in Nara,

at this particular shrine to view the sunset

as he did every evening

usually with his wife, but on this evening

he settled for our company.

It was  a scene and an experience that we shall never forget.

And so comes the end of our current tale.

Perhaps you will find more here in

Further updates.
